Job description

This internship is a part of a project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. It includes an active involvement in the activities of the Women Leaders in Media – EU-Ukraine Support Programme, as well as event organisation and communication activities.

Length of internship: 3 months,part-time or full-time (20h or 40h/week)

Allowance: max. 520 Euro (depending on working hours)

Responsibilities
  • Assist the team of Women Leaders in Media – EU-Ukraine Support Programme Help organise a study tour for Ukrainian journalists in Germany and neighbouring countries
  • Support with communication activities
Your profile
  • You are interested in journalism, media freedom and human rights
  • You are studying in a field such as journalism, human rights studies, political sciences, gender studies, 
  • European studies, communications and media studies, or history or any related field
  • You are fluent in English. A working knowledge of German or Ukrainian are an advantage
  • You have intercultural sensitivity and are keen to work with people from different cultural backgrounds
  • You are well-organised, curious, a fast learner and proactive team player
  • You are a creative writer, have keen language skills
  • You are outgoing, kind, and attentive to people’s needs.
  • You feel comfortable reaching out to contacts by phone or email.
  • You are ready to travel in November
  • You are currently
    • a) Enrolled at a German University or University of Applied Sciences,
    • b) Are in between your Bachelor and/or Master studies
  • During the internship you are based  in Berlin

About the project:
Women Leaders in Media – EU-Ukraine Support Programme
The project empowers 10 women in Ukrainian media to take on or strengthen leadership roles. Through training, expert support, resilience grants, and international exchange, participants will develop strategies for gender equality in media. The initiative is led by ECPMF (Germany) and Women in Media (Ukraine).
